Our dad Paul died suddenly of an undiagnosed pulmonary embolism on 28th August 2012 at the age of 53, whilst at home. He collapsed and suffered a respiratory arrest and a cardiac arrest. It was a week later when we found out the cause of death. We are still in so much shock and can't believe this has happened. Dad was such an outgoing man, who loved the beach, going for long country and mountain walks. He was the life and soul of our family and the hole in our lives can never be replaced. For your life with someone so important such as your dad to be stopped so suddenly with no warning in one day is undescribable. All we can do now is share our memories of dad and in memory of him fundraise for the British Lung Foundation. Such a worthy cause but not enough people know it exists. I didn't until dad's passing.
